Mental Health Complaints Commissioner

The Mental Health Complaints Commissioner (MHCC) are the Victorian Government body who oversee complaints relating to mental health care. Complaints are encouraged as a way to improve services and procedures.

Annual Report 2019

A warm wash of light creates an optimistic atmosphere and refreshes the look of brand photography shot in 2017. The layout is editorial in style, and graphic elements create links between the principles that guide the MHCC mission and real life stories of people the MHCC has helped.

Annual Report 2018

Typographic shapes were used as a graphic element to enhance photography, which was shot by Jay Hynes on a shoestring budget. Portraits have become an important part of the MHCC brand, and have been art directed to convey calm, confidence and hope.

Sexual Safety Report 2018

An analysis and set of recommendations on mental health inpatient sexual safety. While produced by the MHCC, this publication didn't fall within the MHCC brand guidelines, and was developed as a separate but related entity.

Annual Report 2016

Each year the MHCC have become more adventurous with the interpretation of their brand in their annual reports. The 2016 report marked one of the first shifts away from a strict brand interpretation.
